These terms govern access to and use of Poule.net (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Editorial purpose

The site publishes general educational content about raising backyard chickens — guides, gear reviews, seasonal articles and interactive planning tools. Content is provided "as is" for general information. It is not personalised veterinary, legal, financial or regulatory advice and should not be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your specific circumstances.

Acceptable use

You may read the site, share its URLs, and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not:

• copy or republish substantial portions of the site without permission;
• use automated tools to harvest content at a scale that interferes with normal operation;
• attempt to circumvent security or access controls;
• use the site to distribute malware, spam, or content that is illegal where you are located;
• misrepresent the site's content as your own, or as endorsed by the site when it is not.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, images and code on the site are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights. Brand names, product names and logos referenced in reviews remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial commentary only. Reuse of original site content beyond fair use requires written permission via hello@poule.net.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on the site are affiliate links. When a reader clicks an affiliate link and completes a qualifying purchase, the site may receive a small commission at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate participation does not influence what is recommended; pages are written first and links are added afterwards based on availability. The relationship is described in more detail on the about page and the disclaimer.

Third-party links

The site links to external websites for reference. Those sites are independent of Poule.net, have their own terms and privacy practices, and the site is not responsible for their content or behaviour.

Tools and calculators

Interactive calculators and quizzes on the site (such as the coop-size calculator, feed-cost calculator and breed quiz) produce estimates based on simplified models. Real-world conditions vary; treat their output as a starting point, not a final figure.

No warranties

The site and its content are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. The site does not warrant that pages will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Poule.net and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or related to use of the site, including loss of profits, data, animals or property. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in that case the limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

Any dispute arising from these terms should first be raised informally by email so it can be resolved directly. Nothing in these terms affects mandatory consumer protection rights under the law of your country of residence, including your right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

The site may update these terms from time to time. The "Last reviewed on" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If the changes are material, a notice will be displayed on the site for a reasonable period. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
